Jenny first joined Lynxeye as an intern in 2015 while studying at the Stockholm School of Economics. After the internship, she was offered to work full-time as a Strategy Consultant. In 2019 she advanced to the role of Team Leader and is now part of one of our Client Teams.
Meet Jenny Kramer
One of our Team Leaders
What does a Team Leader do?
The responsibilities of a Team Leader closely resemble those of a Project Manager. The responsibilities are quite broad, you work on client projects, bring in new client opportunities and lead the internal team, the client and the process forward. This requires keeping the overarching goal in focus while also being prepared to delve into the details when needed.
Together with a Client Leader, I am responsible for ensuring the quality of delivery in client projects and that our work meets (and preferably exceeds!) the client’s needs.
In addition, an essential part of the Team Leader's job is to coach and lead the project team, which consists of consultants and senior advisors with varying skill sets. They may specialize in strategy, insights, design, innovation, and more. In other words, I am responsible for leading the strategic thinking and developing the other team members’ skills to optimize quality.
A Team Leader should also ensure that the project runs smoothly in all aspects. That means staying close to the client’s representatives to understand their needs and identify any potential obstacles. It also means being in tune with our own team, facilitating continuous feedback, and addressing any misunderstandings.
—To ensure delivery quality, you must understand the client's business, both today and potential future scenarios.
Name four Team Leader must-haves!
Strong leadership skills – You are leading the strategic thinking and are responsible for keeping the project moving forward. This means knowing who should do what and when – guiding the team towards your mutual goals.
Stakeholder management skills - You need to build a trusting relationship with the client. It is crucial to understand when to involve different internal and external stakeholders, and communicate actively so the client feels informed and included.
Strategic business mindset – To ensure delivery quality, you must understand the client's business, both today and potential future scenarios. In addition, you must be able to break down complex problems and find reasonable solutions.
Structure and order – Finally, as for many other roles, it’s essential to be well-organized. You provide structure not only for yourself but for the entire team. It is essential to be agile as not everything goes to plan all the time.

What are some of the best things about life at Lynxeye?
I work here because of the great people I get to work with every day. We have an open culture where we can have intense and interesting dialogues, both in projects and at lunch. I get to work with talented colleagues from many different fields, which is very inspirational and constantly provides new perspectives.
In addition, I appreciate that you are given a lot of trust and ownership of your own work early on. For example, when I first started I got to be really involved in, and present at, client meetings early on, which has been very developing.
Lastly, I find that our work is very rewarding as it is both highly analytical and creative at the same time. It enables learning and growth as we get to work with a variety of clients within different industries, and in turn, learn a lot about areas that may be completely new to you!
