I’m a designer with a background in the creative industries, having spent years working in the fields of art, music and fashion.
Designer
Louise Häggman
My interest in visual art and illustration was sparked early on in my life by my parents’ careers in textiles and later led to study at ARCH College of Design.
With a degree in Graphic Design and Advertising from Forsbergs School of Design, I have worked at many of the institutions of Stockholm’s creative and commercial scene. For example, art gallery CFHILL and branding agency Kurppa Hosk, where I contributed on producing work for some of the leading companies in Scandinavian culture, including Fotografiska and Into the Valley. As well as more tech and industrial-driven clients such as Telia, Scania and Sandvik.
—My philosophy sees design as a craft, creating practical works that fulfil a set purpose, that find a solution to a posed problem.
What inspires you?
My work is inspired by a desire to tell stories – as in photography, a strong interest of mine. My philosophy sees design as a craft, creating practical works that fulfil a set purpose, that find a solution to a posed problem.
Name a great purpose example
The outdoor brand Patagonia made a bold statement by giving away a majority of the company’s shares to a nonprofit organization fighting climate change. A great example of how to walk the talk.
