Hugo Johannesson

I am a creative and solution-oriented strategist who loves using new technologies to find the right purpose and direction for up-and-coming markets.

I hold a B.Sc. in Business and Economics with a major in Marketing and Brand Management from Lund University, and commenced an MSc in Operations Management and Control at Stockholm Business School. I also studied at Singapore Management University and during my time there I worked with three different Singapore-based companies, assisting them in developing new strategies and solutions to target new customer segments.

As a car enthusiast, I am excited by the market's evolution towards smarter and more sustainable vehicles. One company that has particularly impressed me is NIO. Their introduction of battery swap facilities, which can replace a vehicle's battery with a new fully charged one in just five minutes, represents a significant advancement. While the concept of battery swapping has been discussed for some time, NIO's successful implementation is truly commendable.

I am deeply enthusiastic about New Balance as both a company and a brand. The clear purpose of delivering sportswear that caters to everyone while prioritizing sustainability truly resonates with me. I also admire the transparent communication and well-articulated strategy for tackling climate challenges and addressing the importance of health.

I thrive in situations that call for creative problem-solving. When I have the opportunity to collaborate with a team to optimize and deliver innovative solutions that surpass customer expectations motivates me.
