I see myself as a curious problem solver, always aiming to understand why something is the way it is.
Strategy Consultant
Frida Nyberg
Instead of the classic ‘interaction between human and machine’, my passion lies in the interaction between human and environment – to understand people’s needs, behaviors and frustrations, and use them to create a more user-friendly future.
My crazy journey as both an engineer and designer has made me see the value of understanding different perspectives and I love to make sure all parts involved speak the same language. But while I love having an overview and seeing the whole picture, I am just as passionate for the details and making even the smallest things bloom.
My previous experiences have given me unique and valuable insights from working in different types of situations – both in early-stage entrepreneurial environments and mature large-scale settings. I hold a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering – Design and Product Realization from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, with a Masters in Innovation Management and Product Development. I also hold a BFA Degree in Industrial Design from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design. I am especially interested in customer-centric design, innovation strategy and sustainable business development.
—It is truly a privilege to combine all my areas of interest and skills in my job. I get the chance to work at the heart of organizations, supporting them in understanding understand how they can make a difference for people, business and society.
What is corporate purpose?
To me, it means that a company has a clear and long-lasting answer to the question “Why?”. In volatile industries with a changing climate, that answer will be put to the test where it’s crucial to dig and think deeply about it.
What is corporate purpose?
I believe that purpose represents the personality of the organization and defines why they exist to make a change. Having a clear purpose opens up for opportunities to explore new business areas and ways to succeed, while at the same time creating a clear direction for the future. Companies must take action in order to create strong relationships built on trust and loyalty with both customers and employees.
Name a great purpose example
Since I was a child, I’ve been dreaming about contributing to the journey of creating a better tomorrow. I guess that’s why I think IKEA is a great inspiration with their purpose ‘To create a better everyday life for the many people’. They truly put their customer in focus of where life happens, by designing sustainable and functional products at a low cost for everyone. Apart from this, they have enabled an IKEA culture where they empower their employees to be proud IKEA promoters on the outside as well.
What inspires you?
The authentic skincare brand L:a Bruket (means The Small Mill in Swedish) that is made on the West Coast of Sweden and has reached worldwide recognition. For me, it’s inspirational how they prioritize their customers well-being by offering innovative products based on sustainable ingredients, with the ambition to train your skin to feel good in the long-term.
